Direct quote from the just published REAGAN DIARIES.
The entry is dated May 17, 1986.
'A moment I’ve been dreading. George brought his ne’re-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida. The one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I’ll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they’ll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work.’
Thanks to Tyger for this!
Later: And thanks also to Tyger for this CORRECTION: This it seems, is not from Reagan’s diaries at all. But from My Lunch With Reagan, by Michael Kinsley. Doh!
WHAT A PITY!

GOOD Stuff -- the word is out /now/!

GRANDPA Says to me:
Dang!
But you know this is just like Mr Toad’s tall stories in The Wind In The Willows. WHY shouldn’t it be just as true about old Reagen as the useless crap he “really” did say? And anyway Bush is the sort of putz who DESERVES to have false quotes made against him! The only good thing about being such a goof is he DIDN’T go out and get a bunch of medals in the Army like those two ass pains, Kerry and McClain. Just think what a NUISANCE the grubby little Texas sonofabitch would be THEN.
Persons like Bush are the most suitable ones for the interests of those who control them.
Well exactly, Jose.
I used to watch the latter series of James Bond films and wonder where they got the 'workers' for Blofeldt's private army - S.P.E.C.T.R.E.
It's only too easy to see how, in fact, it is eminently possible.
And Bush is no more than a footsoldier really - a draft dodging footsoldier at that !
