Conspiracy? Whose conspiracy?

Anticant is an instinctive sceptic, and a reluctant conspiracy theorist. But for the past six-plus years, ever since the 9/11 Twin Towers business, he has felt growingly uneasy and unconvinced by the official US and UK government explanations of what is happening and why.

When I first came across the notion that 9/11 could have been an 'inside job', it seemed too incredible to deserve a moment's consideration. But the more I read about the construction of the Twin Towers, the undoubted fact that they imploded almost instantaneously when they had been built to withstand stresses far greater than that caused by crashing aircraft, and - even more inexplicably - that a third tower which was not directly hit had also collapsed, the more I wondered.

Then I discovered Yankee Doodle's blog. At first I wrote him off as a one-sided extremist. But the more I read his obviously deeply researched and minutely detailed posts, the greater became my conviction that this guy is on to something big.

What he is on to is the almost total collapse of the moral compass of the West, as well as the near-universal venality and sporadic religious fanaticism of the East.

Have a look at his latest post, and judge for yourselves.

What is the Truth behind the illusions of truth ?

The Truth, methinks, will be far stranger than the illusions.

But even if we find the Truth, could we take it ?

Thanks for the words and the link, Anti.

Part 2 is out now, and Part 3 will come out early Saturday afternoon UK time.

THANKS To you, Aunty, and YD -- I've noised this around to some of the mugs, here...as my old Seventh-Day Adventist neighbour, er, neighbor, Mrs Milo Hill (d 1991 /aetat/ 91), used to say: "We simply need to pray for people to be better in their hearts, Emmett."

Are the American Secret Services so gagged that what Yankee Doodle exposes in his blog cannot come out to light and be dealt with officially?

The FBI - I don't dare to mention the CIA - has by far better means than what YD, with all the effort he does, can extract by himself or with the help from other active sources.

Which leads me to think that corruption has flooded the high instances of the US in such a way that we cannot speak any longer of fairness or justice, let alone believe what the Media care to publish.

YD has courage to say what he does. There's no denying that.

Much would have to change in the US for the official country to be believed and relied upon in the future.

Whoever is elected would be deemed a puppet of mafias or mobsters or of Zionists, Islamists, Christians. Or of any sector with money enough to get her(him in their payroll.

And what about the rest of countries that have accompanied the US in its campaigns against terror? I cannot think for a second that their topbrass, civil or military, be naive or cretins. They must very much know what they are doing.

I don't like to talk about conspiracies, but what I see has every aspect of one.

Yes.

Key people have been bought out or otherwise compromised. It's not like they have these big meetings where they coordinate what they're going to do; it's more like each individual acts to keep his own bribes coming, and his own butt out of jail, so that's what keeps them all on the same sheet of music.

Key people -- a "lowly" translator here, a mid-level bureaucrat there, a decision-maker in this office, a file clerk in that office...

There are plenty of honest, hard working agents who would love to bring these guys to justice, but they are atomized, persecuted and frustrated.

Besides which, our intelligence and law enforcement services take orders from the Executive, which is thoroughly corrupt; the Executive is under oversight of Congress, which has been thoroughly compromised. The result: silence such that you can hear a pin drop.

We need to turn things around, and get the momentum going in our direction.

"Which leads me to think that corruption has flooded the high instances of the US in such a way that we cannot speak any longer of fairness or justice, let alone believe what the Media care to publish."

Exactly.

"YD has courage to say what he does. There's no denying that."

I can deny that. They have no idea who I am. No one does. ;) It's safer for everyone that way.

I have disclosed that I am an American and that I am a Republican.

Anti assumes I am male. In all fairness, it was an adherent of the "backward Religious of Peace" who did not make that assumption -- chalk one up for a progressive Muslim!

"And what about the rest of countries that have accompanied the US in its campaigns against terror? I cannot think for a second that their topbrass, civil or military, be naive or cretins. They must very much know what they are doing."

That's why the coalition was hard to build for Iraq, and has to a great extent fallen apart. Foreign countries, who were happy to help us, now feel like they've been "had" -- just like the Mujahideen on 9/11 that I write about at the end of Part 3 were "had".

The UK has been an excellent ally -- which means that there should be a parallel investigation into HMG.

Not all allies are suspect -- some countries just take things more at face value than others, and have less resources to investigate independently.

In that light, you see how far the Kremlin has distanced itself from the "War on Terror", and you see Bush's reaction to the terrorist attack at Beslan. Just more evidence that something's not right.

"I don't like to talk about conspiracies, but what I see has every aspect of one."

Please check my work -- demand to see evidence. Check what I have come up with, then check what you come up with on your own.

When you're satisfied that something is fishy, something more than your fish and chips, then start making noise about it. ;)

"Much would have to change in the US for the official country to be believed and relied upon in the future."

Don't write us off yet. Though it has become weakened by our distraction with consumerism and the sensation of the moment, we have a strong love for liberty -- one we inherited from our mother country. ;) America's finest hour is ahead of her, just like, if you will permit me to contradict Winston Churchill, I believe Britain's finest hour is ahead of and not behind her.

The $64,000 question is: Who is being had by whom? It seems to me that everyone in this global can of worms fondly imagines that THEY are the smart guys, and that everyone else is a patsy. In actual fact, no-one is all that smart all of the time. That's why I am not a big-time conspiracy theorist. attributing all our woes to a small sinister cabal of superpowerful people [Bilderbergers, Elders of Zion, greedy bankers, Freemasons and all that claptrap]. Doubtless all these, and a lot of others, do have their own little conspiracies - and some pretty big ones - on the boil; but NONE of them are capable of masterminding a superconspiracy that is inevitably going to sweep the board.

So we are, as always, the prisoners of chance and there is everything yet to play for. Two thoughts from canny politicians of the past:

"A week is a long time in politics" [Harold Wilson].

"Events, dear boy, events" [Harold Macmillan].

It's hard to believe that so many people are keeping silent, if YD analysis is correct...for example, those 'technicians' who wired up the buildings for a controlled demolition - allegedly.

A 'superconspiracy' of such magnitude would have involved many....too many ?

Even so, perhaps the number of persons involved is so large that at any time, for any reason "the" leak comes to light and nobody would know who is responsible. I don't know.

"I can deny that. They have no idea who I am. No one does. ;) It's safer for everyone that way."

You are doubtedlessly aware that hackers can trace you down, let alone those who should be more worried by your comments.

"Please check my work -- demand to see evidence. Check what I have come up with, then check what you come up with on your own."

I have no reasons to do that. What you say adapts to what I have heard and read between lines. When you see something absurd in the actions of somebody who is believed to be conveniently counselled, lights flash and bells ring, and time is your best friend to little by little glean what is hidden behind that absurdity.

That's how we came to know what was really behind the Iraq war, something that Bush and gang could not deny eventually.

"Don't write us off yet"

By no means! People, be them Americans, British, Spanish, etc, sooner or later will come to realise where their place is and what must be done to uphold that liberty you talk of, which is a prerogative that naturally belong to all of us.

Congratulations, YD, for your dedication.

I agree with Anticant. Getting together to ascertain what are the best steps to be taken to earn lots of money is not a conspiracy, it is just a normal way for the Great Capital to give uniformity to their companies, to get the best out of the market. Let's not forget most of the big corporations' shares are offered in all the Stock Exchanges. And there are the multinationals.

Unions get together to organise their plans of action to get the best out of their employers.

We must remember in this connection that export/import has made it possible for the employers to choose the best methods in their transactions and in their application of policies to carry them through.

The word "conspiracy" is one that has been so much used that it's become derogatory and has lost the sense it had in olden times.

I agree with you, Jose, that liberty is - or should be - a human right. But as has been well said, the price of liberty is eternal vigilance, and there is a danger that those who, like the Americans, believe that the liberty they once successfully fought for has been secured in perpetuity may lose it again through complacency.

I agree with you, too, that 'conspiracy' is an overworked image, because it assumes that all those involved in an enterprise are intentionally dishonest. The truth of the matter, it seems to me, is that far too many people today have lost their moral compass [or conscience], if they ever had one, and are simply unaware that what they are doing is unethical or dishonest.

There has always been a 'dark side' to business, when it pursues profit at the expense of human lives and social cohesion. Unfortunately, those who believe that 'free enterprise' is sacrosanct are often blind to this aspect of it, and unwittingly condone wrongdoing.

Despite what I've said above, it seems obvious to me that capitalism is the only economic system capable of producing and distributing sufficient goods and services to sustain and improve the global population's standard of living. But business needs to be controlled and regulated to avoid abuses and criminal activities. This becomes problematic when, as would seem to be the case at present, many governmental agencies are themselves corrupt.

The main challenge facing us all today is the restoration of HONESTY as the norm in public and private transactions.

Many of them even now don't know what role they played. Many figured out after the fact, and are now concerned about the trouble they would face.

And, there is always the option to eliminate anyone who knows too much.

The buildings were not wired the way they typically are. Usually, one seeks to minimize collateral damage, and thus the quantity of explosives used. Here, that was not a consideration -- just look at the videos from the "collapse". Big chunks of steel blown hundreds of feet outward, concrete pulverized in mid-air... Even the people who believe Al Qaeda acted alone agree that Bin Laden plans long-term, and that Al Qaeda had already had one mistake (1993) to learn from regarding the WTC.

Cat and Mouse

"Congratulations, YD, for your dedication."
