What an idea!

I find something irresistibly comic about the Archbishop of Canterbury, in his Christmas sermon, telling people that they shouldn't expect magical solutions to their problems.

An absolute classic.
Well worth a blog article and frequent reminders.

Happy Holidays to you and yours, by the way.

Dangerous territory here me old Anti Magi.
The magical is not, surely, the religious is it ?

It is comical that when I sign in to this, via the word verification SYSTEM I must sign in as SUCKA.

How awful can you be to poor Zola on Xmas?

Religion is magic dressed in grown-up clothes. Keith Thomas had some interesting things to say about that.

Sorry about the rude word verification - but if you post here, you must be!

I wouldn't worry about it, when this ecclesiatical character gets far enough along with his Sufi studies he'll figure it all out too, I reckon. Up to a point meanwhile, well Hell, it is just plain /impossible/ to avoid saying what we call over here in Eagle Lake, MN, "asshole things!"

Meanwhile, my Lord Canterbury, "how's YER bishoPRIC?"
