I expect that a close study of them will, alas, reveal loads of equally egregious tub-thumping & nationalistic hokum in the speechs even of Winston Churchill....

I liked the quote so much when I first saw it that I used it start off a recent posting titled "Looking Good while Being Bad!" You might like it.
